Volunteering is an essential part of swim team life as it wouldn't be possible to run a successful swim meet without the support of our swimmers’ families.

Volunteer Requirement

Each family will be required to complete one (1) volunteer shift per meet, which equals seven (7) total volunteer shifts for the season. Volunteers are essential to running smooth, safe meets, and this structure helps ensure responsibilities are shared evenly across all families.

Volunteer Sign-Up Process

• Volunteer shifts for the entire season will now be selected during registration
• Families should choose one shift per meet
• Shifts are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so if there’s a role you love, we encourage you to register sooner rather than later

Whilst we are trying to simplify the volunteer management, we understand that schedules may change, and conflicts can arise later in the season. If that happens, our Volunteer Coordinators, Melissa Ballester/Shanah Schlueter, will be happy to help make adjustments to your sign-up where possible.

Please also note that we are happy to accommodate if "you" would like to hire a responsible teenager to fulfill a volunteer shift on your behalf.

Volunteer Hours Opt-Out Option

Families who prefer not to complete volunteer shifts may choose to opt out of volunteering by paying a $500 Volunteer Opt-Out Fee during registration. This fee helps offset the cost of hiring additional help to ensure meets are staffed and run smoothly.
